LINLEY are proud to launch a sumptuous new kitchen at Harrods, meeting the unflinchingly high standards of the professional chef and the home cook. The Odyssey resides in the Kitchen & Household department, 3rd Floor, of the celebrated department store. While it stands alone as the first functioning kitchen to feature at Harrods in decades, it is truly distinguished by its other virtues.
The Odyssey showcases our unparalleled British craftsmanship and exquisite design with the use of colour palette, materials and textures that are sophisticated and eclectic. We blend hand-dyed veneers and peerless marquetry with exotic marble surfaces, rich walnut internals, illuminated glass panels, and the finest bespoke embellishments.
LINLEY have designed elegant upper cabinetry, crafted with a figured grey eucalyptus framework and a sycamore inlay. The same full-grain finish and inlay has been applied to the island cabinetry, further complimenting the decorative elements of the kitchen. Achieving a warm aesthetic through the generous utilisation of timber – bespoke brass accents and integrated lighting accentuate classic details, whilst simultaneously showcasing the quality of materials and craftsmanship.
A pair of bronzed-glass display cabinets are positioned on either side of the sink, with a striking Bolivian marble worktop. This same book-matched marble – with its distinctive blue and gold ripples, is used throughout the kitchen. Figured grey and brown eucalyptus veneers adorn the push-pull upper cabinetry, whilst the lower units feature minimalist brass handles entirely unique to The Odyssey.
Incorporating push-to-open drawers – crafted from figured-eucalyptus veneers dyed in the iconic LINLEY blue – the island houses a wine-conditioning unit and pop-up electrical sockets, seamlessly integrated within the marble work-surface.
Our Founder and Chairman, David Linley says “A kitchen has to be a place you can feel at home and relaxed, but also somewhere a chef can use with great pleasure”.
